The Mayflower Theatre Groove on Down the Road Dance Project

This was a hip hop Summer Youth Dance Project that ran for the course of 1 month. I was invited on the project by City Eye due to its themes and what I was interested in. I attended editing sessions that gave me practise in looking back at footage, and also recording the shows live with audience Vox pops afterwards.

This project actually deemed much more difficult than past events, due to the livelihood of the show and the first, fast paced, dance only project I had filmed. I quickly learned that someone is always moving or changing position, which made getting everyone in frame more of an issue than I previously had experience in.

However, the team at CityEye and of course those teaching the choreography from Zoonation: The Kate Prince Company, helped me to expect what was coming next and good a smooth transition from one shot to the next. Overall it was a fantastic project to be a part of and thoroughly engaging.
