The Mayflower Theatre Summer Youth Project: Pirates of Penzance, Film and Media Team

This teaser was created by myself and the rest of the Film and Media team at The Mayflower Theatre. The Pirates of Penzance was the 2016 Summer Youth Project which has been running for 6 years now and is continuing to succeed.

In this project I was a part of the Film and Media team, collating photos of the rehearsals, gathering footage of the cast and finally, recording the 3 final performances. We also interviewed the cast and those that have high roles in the Mayflower Theatre to get an idea of how this project was going and how everyone found it, but also to discover why the Mayflower runs these projects.

It was interesting finding out how the show is put together and then how the show looks on the final day. I've always been in awe of how shows are organised and put together, and through doing this I learnt a lot, in particular the roles and importance of people who work in this industry.
